-2- <br />The Mayor stated that the Water Pollution Control Board had renewed aur permit, <br />and that it will e xpire January 16, 1956. He read a camunication from the <br />Board of Electiona in which they stated that September 20., 1955 Would be <br />Registration Day. It was recommended we have one registration place open at the <br />City Hall. A communication was read from Portmann & Portmann. <br />Mr, Knapp stated that the Service Department had asked for an ad3uatment in their <br />wages and the Safsty-Service Director suggested the matter be referred to the Finance <br />Committee. : <br />Lee Case requested atraffic light at Whitethorne and Lorain Ave. The matter was <br />re,ferred to ths Safety Caanmittee, Safety-Service Director and the Police Department. <br />Mr. Neubauer., Chaiman of the Transportation Committee reccmmended that the bus em- <br />ployes on an hourly basis be given a 10¢ an hour increase and the salaried enployees <br />6% increase. . . <br />Ordinanee #2194 was introduced by Mr. Neubauer. An Ordina,nce fixing the cc¢npensa- <br />tion and vacation periods of the bus drivers of the North Olmated Municipal Bus <br />Line and providing for the coanpeusation of employees of Municipal Bus garage and <br />certain other enployees of the Mun3cipal Bus Line, beginning September 1,9 1955. <br />It was moved and seaonded that the statutory rule be suspended ani the Ordinance be <br />read iamediately the second ani third t3mea and put on its paesage.
