An Ordinance accepting the plat <br />of The Joseph Bauer Sub-Division for dedication and recording. It was moved and <br />seconded that the statutory rule be suspended and the Ordinance be read immediate- <br />ly the second arid third times and put on its passage. The afPiYmative vote on <br />saidmotion was as followsz Baker,, Cr3der,' Decker,, Knapp, Kramer,, Neubauer, Schwenk. <br />Thereupon the Ordinance was read the second-and third times and put upon its passage <br />and the affirmative vote thereon was as foLtaws: ` Baker,9 ` Crider., Decker, Knappj, <br />Kramer, Neubauer, Schwenk. <br />Mr, Neubauer, Chairman of the Transportation Cwrmittee, reported 'that the Butter- <br />nut Ridge'Sunday runs were st311 under discussion and that the Fairview Council' - <br />had requested to meet with`our Council regarding this. Meeting was scheduled <br />for Monday evening June 27th at 8:30 P. M. ? " The Engineer felt that this would take ' care of a lot of <br />the surface water in Gessner Rd. <br />In regard to the canplaint of Mr., GriPfin of S. Porter Road, the Engineer stated the <br />1511 crock should be replaced with 2k'',, which would relieve the situation'somewhat - <br />also that' the instllation of., a storm sewer in Decker Raaa, would help on Porter ftd. <br />Mr, Thoanas Scranton of 23236 Westchester Drive and John Gregg of 23240 tiiestchester <br />Dr, complained about raw sewage going into the ditch to the rear of their properties. <br />They were infomed that the matter wau].d be referred'to the County Board of Health ' <br />for`checki.ng. They also inquired about street lights. <br />The hsayor read a memorandwn frcan the Engineer regardinb Dover Center 13oad, in'which <br />he stated there was no progress on wideriing and paving - that secondary federal aid <br />on a secondary federal road is out definitely in cities,, and only applies to villages <br />and townships. A recommendation might be to cut the pro3ect dos,m by widening <br />on both sides two feet, then resurfacing. No improved drainage would be in this,, <br />3ust the present ditch drainage. The Mayar also read a letter from the State High- <br />way Department in regard to the resurfacing of Lorain Road within the corporate . <br />limits oY North Olmsted, -The policy of the Departanent is 50% participation in the <br />construction and engineering costs, plus 100% of the cost of necessary utility ad- <br />Justment. The estimated cost of this project is .0)290,000.09. The Mayor stated he <br />had'discussed thi9 with the Engineer,'and that prbbably a trip to Columbus would be <br />adv3.sable to`see Mr. John J. Heiher, Deputy Director of Planning & Program. <br />The Mayor read a commun.ication frorn John R. Cloyd in.whinh he sulvnitted four possible' <br />solutions in connection with the proposed construction"of a aewage disposal plant in <br />' Rocky River.. . <br />A communication was read frorn George D. Rager., Attorney for Elwin Limpert, in which <br />he expressed apprecia.tion and thanks to the Mayor and Council for action taken to <br />, eliminate the 'surface water` problem on the Elwin Liinpert property in Canterbury Rd. <br />The Mayor reported that' two gas wella were found on the property awned by the city <br />at the corner of Lorain and Dover Roads., and that the total cost of plugging these <br />wells would,run about $990.00. <br />" The Mayor stated that Haettich Roofing Co. had submitted a proposal for repairing the <br />town hall roof in the mount of $970.00.
