Cloyd stating he had attended a <br />Senate Committee Hearing at Columbus in regards to the opperation of the water <br />pollution law. The consensus of opinion of groups represented wa.s that it is <br />a iinancial hardship on the citie's and village's represented without aid from <br />the State or Federal.Government. . l <br />r. <br />The Niayor also stated there would be a Civil Defense meeting at the Court House, <br />February k, 1955 and he,would have someone attend. <br />Ordinance #2086 was introduced by Mr:R Baker. An Ordinanceā¢autharizing.and directing <br />the cancellation oP special assessments on pernuanent parcel No. 234-26-9 on <br />, rZcKenzie Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. It was moved and seconded that the statutory <br />rule be suspended and the Ordinance:be read immediately:the second and third t3mes <br />and put on its paasage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as followa: Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer, Neubauer, Schwenk. Thereupon the Ordinance was read <br />the second and third times and,put upon its passage and the aPfizmative vote thereon . <br />was as follows: Baker, Crider., Decker, Kramer., Neubauer, Schwenk. <br />Ordinance #2087 was introduced by Mr. Neubauer. An Ordinance requiring the in- <br />gtall.ation of covers for siunp pump holes. It was moved and seconded that the <br />sta;tutory rule be suspended and the Ordinance be read immediately the second and <br />third times and put on its passage. The afPirmative vote on said motion was as <br />follows: Baker,.Crider, Decker, Kramer., Neubauer, Schwenk. Thereupon the Ordinance <br />was read the secon3 and third times and put upon its passage and the vote thereon <br />was aa Yollowa: Haker, Crider, Decker, Kramer, Neubauer, Schwenk., <br />Ordinance #20$8 was introduced by Mr. Neubauer. An Ordinance enter3ng into contract <br />with the city of Cleveland for the Yurnishing of water. <br />The abovo Ordinancewas given its first reading only. <br />Comunication received Pram Civi1 Service Conmi.ssion requesting that the salary of <br />the Clerk of the Board be:inereased to $60.00 per month.The matter was referred <br />to Comnittees of Finance and Budget. The Build3ng Commissions Report for the month of January showed pexmits issued in <br />the amount of $760.55; Estimated Construction Va].ue $174,300.00. The Engineer reported that the petition to extend tha water line on North Porter <br />Road had over the required 60% of frontage signed and moved by Mr. Decker, seconded <br />by Mr. Kramer the petition be referred to ths Engineer for plans,.specificationa, <br />profiles and estimates. "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer, Neubauer,.
