<br />MINUTES OF A NEETING OF : THE C017NCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />. NORTH 4LMSTED, OHIO
<br />Present were Dr. C. B. Lewis, Mayor, L. H. Baker, Harrg M. Crider, R. L. Decker,
<br />. William H. Kramer, R. G. Neubausr, G. H. Schwenk. Abaent were Mr. Baumgardner,
<br />and Mr. MacDonald. ,
<br />: Also present were F. G. Kitson, Solicitor, James F. Votava, Safetyr-Service Director,,
<br />? Everett Dean, Engineer, E. M. Christman, Clerk. In the absence af Mr. Baumgardner, Mr. Decker took the chair.:
<br />? A motion was ma.de by.Mr. Neubauer and seconded by Mr. Baker that.the minutes of
<br />December 4, 1956 be mpproved as read. "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer, Neubauer.,
<br />Schwenk. ?
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Crider and seconded bp Mr. Baker that the minutes of ,
<br />December 11, 1956 be approved as read. "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Deckero Kramer,
<br />Neubauer., Schwenk. ,
<br />The Safety-Service Director reported that_bids had been taken_on a dump truck, and
<br />the recommendation oP the Board of Control is to awa.rd the bid to Lyons;Truck Sales,
<br />E1Yx'ia,, Ohio : in the, amount of $7358.600
<br />Mr. Kramer is now present. _
<br />Resolution ,#2412 was introduced by Mr. Crider. A Resolution authorizing the Service
<br />Director to enter into a contract for the purchase of a motor vehicle for use by'the
<br />Service Department. It was moved and seconded that the statutory rule be suspended
<br />, and the ftesolution be read irnmediately the second and third times and put on its
<br />passage. The affirmative vote on sald motion was as follows: Baker, Crider, Decker,
<br />? Kramer, Neubauer., 5chwenk. Thereupon the Resolution was read the second and third
<br />times and put ugon its passage and:the affirmative vote thereon was as:fol.lowss
<br />Baker, Crider, Decker,,Kramer, Neubauer, schwenk. .
<br />The Safety-Service Director reported that our Liabilitg Insurance expires February 4,
<br />? 1957; Fire, Theft and Collision March 25, 1457.
<br />? A motion was made by Mr. Schwenk and $econded by Mr. Crider that the Safety-Service .
<br />Director be authorized'to advertise for bids on insurance. "Yeasn Baker, Crider,
<br />Decker, Kramer, Neubauer, Schwenk. •
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Crider and seconded.by Mr. Schwenk that the plat of
<br />Mackenzie Park #1 Development be referred back to the Planning Commission for study '
<br />and recommendation. "Yeasn Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer, Neubauer., Schwenko
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Neubauer and seconded by Mr. Schwenk that the organization-
<br />al chart w3th job descriptions, be approved for the Bus Line, and that the Law
<br />'Director be authorized to bring this to the attention of the Civil Service Commission,
<br />and draw the nece5sary legislation. "Yeasn Crider, Decker, Kramer, Nenbausr,
<br />Schweriko "Nay" Baker.
<br />Mr. Baker called at,tention to three acres of the o1d Jenkins property., which adjoins
<br />? the sanitary'land fi3.1 with 61 Yrontage on Colunbia Boad, in which the citp might be
<br />interested. The matter was referred to the Properties Committee,
<br />? , ..
<br />The Clerk read the Health fteport for the month of October.
<br />Ordinance #2413 was introduced by.Mr. Baker. An Ordinance accepting the Blat of
<br />Zehman, ydolf & Sherman Construction Company's Sub--Division #2 for sub-division and
<br />recording purposes only, It was moved and seconded that the statutory ru].e be sus-
<br />pend'ed and the Ordinance be read immediately the second and third times and put on
<br />its passage., The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Baker, Crider,
<br />Decker, Kramer, Neubauer, Schwenk. Thereupon the Ordinance was read the second and third
<br />ti.mes and put upon its passage and the gffirmative vote thereon was as follows: Baker,
<br />Crider, Decker, Kramer, Neubauer., Schwenk.
<br />The Mayor raad a communication from the'County Auditor's office regardi.ng our
<br />Building Department taking pictures of new dwellings, etc. be3ng erected in our city,
<br />and keeping certairr records for the County Auditor's oYPice. It was decided that'
<br />no action be taken.
