<br />tacted County Engineer, Albert S.,Porter, in an effort to obtain same assiatance
<br />on Lorain Road; howevers the County felt they could nat give ua any direct aid as
<br />they have abant 21 cities (including the City of Clevelarr3) in their area, to which
<br />they would be obligated. He stated they would help us in making a recommendation
<br />to the State Highrray Director foir the reconstruction of Lorain Road. Mr. Porter
<br />alao suggested that we pass a Resalution requesting imediate act3an on Dover
<br />Center xoad, so as to get the matter be1'ore the County ComQniasioners, or send a.

<br />The Mayor stated that he had phonedithe Chicago OYfice of Hausing & Hane Finance
<br />ABency, in regard to our applicat3on for a` loan, so that we . ean : proceed with our
<br />8eti?ex plan. He learned that application was now in their Legal Department, then
<br />it must ge to Washington arYi then bads to Chicago -- then it is sent to their
<br />enlumbus oFfice. He said that Congreasman William E, Minshall had also phoned
<br />Chicago and promised to follow it rrhen it reaches Washington so there will be no
<br />undue delay there. .
