This is an automobile accident case with no severe injuries. Insurance <br /> defense counsel is handling this matter. <br /> Director of Finance Copfer: <br /> • She and the Mayor will be meeting with division heads and Directors as they <br /> begin to work on the 2014 budget. The budget will be introduced at the first <br /> Council meeting in February, and the budget hearings will be on Saturday, <br /> February 8. <br /> Councilman Barker took a moment of personal privilege to announce that there will be a <br /> NOCCA meeting Thursday February 6, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. He is resigning from the <br /> NOCCA board and Council President Jones will be taking his position on the board. The <br /> February 6th meeting is about leadership and working with employees. <br /> Councilman Kearney, Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br /> The Finance Committee met Tuesday January 14, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Present were <br /> committee members Kearney and Barker; Council members Hemann, Limpert and <br /> Williamson; Finance Director Copfer and Law Director Gareau. <br /> • Discussed was Ordinance 2014-1 which is an Ordinance to make and transfer <br /> appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North <br /> Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2014, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Copfer and Wenger explained that this is a yearly task; this Ordinance is for <br /> projects, not salaries/benefits. Needed monies are $78,750 for the Master Plan, <br /> $33,700 for the Police Dept. project, $53,900 for the grinder at the WWTP, <br /> $33,700 for the Engineering of streets. The total is approximately $190,000. The <br /> committee voted 2-0 to recommend approval of Ordinance 2014-1 with <br /> suspension of the rule requiring three readings. <br /> Councilwoman Hemann, Chairwoman of the Intra-Governmental Relations Committee: <br /> The Intra-Governmental Relations Committee met Tuesday January 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Present were committee members Hemann and Limpert; Council members Barker, <br /> Brossard and Schumann; Planning/Development Director Wenger, Mayor Kennedy and <br /> guests. <br /> • The committee met to interview former Law Director, James Dubelko, as he was <br /> recommended by Mayor Kennedy to fill a vacancy on the Landmarks <br /> Commission. The committee voted 2-0 to recommend approval of the Mayor's <br /> appointment. The meeting was adjourned at 7:06 p.m. <br /> Councilwoman Hemann made a motion to approve the Mayor's appointment of James <br /> Dubelko to the Landmarks Commission for the unexpired term January 1, 2013 through <br /> December 31, 2014. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed <br /> unanimously. James Dubelko appointment to the Landmarks Commission approved 7-0. <br /> 2 <br />
