Council Minutes of 02-18-2014 <br /> Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to amend Resolution 2014-13 to remove the <br /> emergency clause. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed <br /> unanimously. Resolution 2014-13 amended 6-0. <br /> Councilman Schumann, Chairman of the Building, Zoning & Development Committee: <br /> The BZD Committee met Tuesday February 11, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. Present were <br /> committee members Schumann, Barker and Williamson; Council members Hemann, <br /> Kearney and Limpert; Finance Director Copfer; Safety/Service Director Glauner, <br /> Planning/Development Director Wenger and guests. <br /> • CMS 14-45 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Dealership — The proposal consisted of the <br /> demolition of part of their current building with the remainder to be used as <br /> Service, and the construction of a new Sales Office and Showroom closer to <br /> Lorain. The plan was met with much support from the committee and the vote <br /> was 3-0 to recommend approval with recommendations from the Planning and <br /> Design Commission. <br /> Councilman Schumann made a motion to approve CMS 14-45 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram <br /> Dealership subject to recommendations set forth by the Planning and Design <br /> Commission. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. <br /> CMS 14-45 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Dealership approved 6-0. <br /> • CMS14-42 Kensington Court Apartments Project— This proposal consisted of the <br /> removal of an existing pool and construction of a new pool and office with <br /> restroom facilities at the rear of the property. Planning/Development Director <br /> Wenger explained the need to allow a limited Conditional Use Permit as the rear <br /> of the property does not meet zoning for this project. Neighborhood property <br /> owner, Jeff Sturgeon, was present. He said he favored the project but asked <br /> Council to consider adding a fence to the south end of the property. The members <br /> of the committee and Planning/Director were not in favor of this. Safety/Service <br /> Director Glauner suggested that he was working on issues related to the adjoining <br /> commercial lot, and he offered to look into Sturgeon's safety concerns for the <br /> project location. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of CMS14-42 <br /> with inclusion of the Conditional Use Permit. <br /> Councilman Schumann made a motion to grant Kensington Court applicant a Conditional <br /> Use Permit. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br /> unanimously. Conditional Use Permit granted 6-0. <br /> Councilman Schumann made a motion to approve CMS14-42 Kensington Court <br /> Apartments Project subject to recommendations set forth by the Planning and Design <br /> Commission. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br /> unanimously. CMS14-42 Kensington Court Apartments Project approved 6-0. <br /> Councilman Limpert, Chairman of the Environmental Control Committee: <br /> The Environmental Control Committee met Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 7:52 p.m. <br /> Present were committee members Limpert and Hemann; Council members Barker, <br /> 5 <br />
