Council Minutes of 03-04-2014 The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2014-19 with suspension. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION No comments. LEGISLATION Resolution 2014-10 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cuyahoga County/The Cuyahoga County Engineer for the purpose of providing inspection services for bridges and culverts. Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2014-10 adopted 6-0. Resolution 2014-11 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service/Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide cracksealing on various streets at various locations in the city, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service/Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets at various locations in the city, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service/Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon city streets, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder.
