Council Minutes of 06 -17 -2014 <br />Resolution 2014 -40 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept a donation of labor and equipment from <br />Franciscus Incorporated to replace the roof on the crypt at the Butternut Ridge Cemetery, <br />and declaring an emergency. Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Schumann <br />publicly thanked Gary Porter for getting in touch with Franciscus Roofing. Resolution <br />2014 -40 adopted 7 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -41 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the North Olmsted City <br />School District to provide for funding of the School Resource Officer (SRO) for fiscal <br />year 2014 -15. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Resolution 2014 -41 adopted 7 -0. <br />Ordinance 2014 -43 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative <br />personnel for the year 2014 to create a part-time Assistant Finance Director position <br />(Section 3A) and to allow non - bargaining employees to sell back up to 40 hours of <br />earned, unused vacation for 2014 only (Section 15); and to otherwise restate the <br />compensation rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel <br />for the year 2014, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to <br />suspend the rule requiring three readings as this was discussed by the Finance <br />Committee. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to make application for, and enter into a lease with, <br />Allstate Capital for the purpose of supplying fitness equipment for the Recreation Center, <br />and declaring an emergency. Councilman Brossard made a motion to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings as this was discussed by the Recreation Committee. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Councilman Brossard <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2014 -45 adopted 7 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -46 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution adopting the Alternative Tax Budget of the City of North Olmsted for the <br />fiscal year beginning January 1, 2015, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, <br />and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings as this was discussed by the Finance Committee. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2014 -46 adopted 7 -0. <br />Ordinance 2014 -48 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2014, and <br />declaring an emergency.
