Council Minutes of 06 -17 -2014 Resolution 2014 -40 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept a donation of labor and equipment from Franciscus Incorporated to replace the roof on the crypt at the Butternut Ridge Cemetery, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Schumann publicly thanked Gary Porter for getting in touch with Franciscus Roofing. Resolution 2014 -40 adopted 7 -0. Resolution 2014 -41 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the North Olmsted City School District to provide for funding of the School Resource Officer (SRO) for fiscal year 2014 -15. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Resolution 2014 -41 adopted 7 -0. Ordinance 2014 -43 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative personnel for the year 2014 to create a part-time Assistant Finance Director position (Section 3A) and to allow non - bargaining employees to sell back up to 40 hours of earned, unused vacation for 2014 only (Section 15); and to otherwise restate the compensation rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel for the year 2014, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this was discussed by the Finance Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to make application for, and enter into a lease with, Allstate Capital for the purpose of supplying fitness equipment for the Recreation Center, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Brossard made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this was discussed by the Recreation Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. A Resolution adopting the Alternative Tax Budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2015, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, and declaring an emergency.
