Ordinance 2014 -31 adopted <br />7 -0. <br />Ordinance 2014 -35 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 537.17 of Chapter 537 of the General Offenses Code <br />entitled "Criminal Child Enticement" in order to clarify prohibited conduct, and declaring <br />an emergency. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2014 -35 adopted 7 -0. <br />Ordinance 2014 -37 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Sections 1363.105 and 1363.107 of Chapter 1363 of the Real <br />Property Maintenance Code entitled "Violations" and "Minor Nuisances" in order to <br />provide for minor misdemeanor citations and penalties for unabated minor nuisances, and <br />declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Schumann made a motion to suspend <br />the rules as this legislation was discussed in committee. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Williamson. Roll Call: Schumann, yes; Williamson, yes; Brossard, yes; <br />Limpert, no; Barker, yes; Kearney, yes; Hemann, yes. Suspension passes 6 -1. <br />Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2014 -37 adopted 7 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -40 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept a donation of labor and equipment from <br />Franciscus Incorporated to replace the roof on the crypt at the Butternut Ridge Cemetery, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2014 -41 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the North Olmsted City <br />School District to provide for funding of the School Resource Officer (SRO) for fiscal <br />year 2014-15. <br />Ordinance 2014 -43 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative <br />personnel for the year 2014 to create a part-time Assistant Finance Director position <br />(Section 3A) and to allow non - bargaining employees to sell back up to 40 hours of <br />earned, unused vacation for 2014 only (Section 15); and to otherwise restate the <br />compensation rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel <br />for the year 2014, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2014 -44 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Westshore <br />Communications to purchase audio /visual and communication equipment as part of the <br />improvement project at the North Olmsted Recreation Center, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Brossard made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three <br />readings and formal committee review due to an issue of timing. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Councilman Brossard <br />moved for adoption.
