Council Minutes of 10 -21 -2014 <br />prosecution and seven complaints with unresolved service issues. Fifteen cases <br />were being addressed through the Mayor's Court. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• The August 2014 detail and summary statement was sent out this afternoon. They <br />are in the process of closing September, and she will work on the quarterly review <br />so that she can present a narrative next month. <br />• She reviewed several comments that she received regarding the Popular Annual <br />Financial Report (PAFR) that was mailed to all North Olmsted residents. Overall, <br />people were pleased with the format and presentation, and they appreciated the <br />city providing the information to them. <br />• She and Human Resources Director Farver completed the LeanOhio Boot Camp, <br />and now the North Olmsted will qualify for up to $100,000 in grant money from <br />the State. <br />• She attended the Records Commission meeting scheduled earlier this evening. <br />The Finance Department's records retention policy was updated to include the <br />standard retention policies for common records city -wide and to update the names <br />of records and include the electronic form of records retention in Finance with the <br />upgrades that have been completed. <br />Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health & Welfare committee met on October 14, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. <br />Present were committee members Barker, Williamson and Brossard; Council members <br />Hemann, Kearney, Limpert and Schumann; Mayor Kennedy, Law Director Gareau and <br />the Administrator of Youth and Family Services, Christine Allegra. <br />• Discussed first was new liquor permit no. 72682100005 Regal Cinemas Inc., <br />DBA Regal Cinemas located at 450 Great Northern Mall. Sergeant Wagner of the <br />North Olmsted Police Dept. found no objections to this request. Councilman <br />Barker made a motion to not object to this liquor permit. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and the vote was 3 — 0 to not object. <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to not object to liquor permit no. 72682100005 Regal <br />Cinemas located at 450 Great Northern Mall. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Liquor permit approved 7 -0. <br />• Discussed next was Resolution 2014 -68 which is a Resolution authorizing the <br />Mayor to enter into a renewed agreement with Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court <br />in connection with the Community Diversion Program to address juvenile <br />misdemeanor and status offenders in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency. This is an annual renewal contract with the Cuyahoga County <br />Juvenile Court. Allegra explained to Council several details of the program. <br />There is no cost to the City, and the city will receive $12,000.00 in funds to help <br />with the program. Councilman Barker made a motion to recommend Resolution <br />2014 -68 to Council. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brossard, and the <br />committee voted 3 — 0 to recommend approval to Council with suspension.
