Council Minutes of 10 -07 -2014 <br />Councilman Schumann made a motion to approve CMS14 -1146 Popeye's located at <br />26170 Lorain Road subject to recommendations set forth by the Planning and Design <br />Commission. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br />unanimously. CMS 14-1146 approved 7 -0. <br />• Discussed last was CMS14 -1096 Cleveland Auto Wash located at 27100 Lorain <br />Road. Director Wenger explained the building site and landscape improvements <br />and the owner was given an opportunity to speak to the improvements as well. <br />Councilman Schumann made a motion to recommend approval of this project. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker, and the committee voted 3 -0 to <br />recommend approval of CMS 14-1096. <br />Councilman Schumann made a motion to approve CMS14 -1096 Cleveland Auto Wash <br />located at 27100 Lorain Road subject to recommendations set forth by the Planning and <br />Design Commission. CMS 14 -1096 approved 7 -0. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane confirmed with the Mayor that leaf pick -up starts on <br />October 20, 2014 from the east end of the city working to the west. He referenced <br />Ordinance 2014 -67 and requested to know if there are any restrictions that require <br />firewood to be moved every so often. Gareau replied that there is no such restriction that <br />firewood be moved unless it is in the wrong place. Lambert suggested that Council look <br />at other cities because firewood becomes a nesting place for vermin and many residents <br />leave firewood in piles that eventually rot if not burned. He knows that Fairview Park <br />has an ordinance that requires firewood to be moved every so often and suggested that <br />Council look into this. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2014 -60 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for copy <br />machines for use by the City of North Olmsted, as per specifications on file, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, after approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract to <br />lease such business equipment and products. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />2014 -60 adopted 7 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -62 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to request proposals ( "RFP ") <br />for website design services and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for <br />said professional services with the vendor selected in the RFP process, subject to <br />approval by the Board of Control. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />2014 -62 adopted 7 -0. <br />0 <br />
