Council Minutes of 12 -02 -2014 <br />the same at $5,500. The difference between this year's contract and last year's <br />contract is the removal of the "Miscellaneous Provisions" to essentially simplify <br />the agreement to remove a lot of legal language describing the Phase II standards. <br />The committee voted 3 -0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2014 -82. The <br />meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane commented on the Mayor's report about the tree <br />lighting ceremony. He said the Mayor did not inform Council about his meeting about <br />the sewers where the Mayor stated he intended to go to Council to borrow $1 million. <br />Lambert said he feels this should be on the record; $1 million for retention. Lambert <br />asked Director Copfer if the city would have the money to cover Ordinance 2014 -88 <br />considering the Mayor needs to borrow $1 million for sewers as well? Lambert <br />apologized to Council for speaking out during the Caucus meeting prior to the Council <br />meeting. From now on he will make his comments during the Council meeting when he <br />is allowed to speak to Council. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2014 -75 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 353.07 of the Traffic Code of the City of North Olmsted <br />entitled "Parking Ticket Procedures" in order to change the misdemeanor classification <br />for fire lane violations from a fourth degree misdemeanor to a minor misdemeanor. <br />Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Kearney and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2014 -75 adopted 6 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -76 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution approving of and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Collective Bargaining <br />Agreement ( "CBA ") with the International Association of Fire Fighters ( "IAFF ") Local <br />1267, for the period January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2017. Councilman Kearney <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2014 -76 adopted 6 -0. <br />Ordinance 2014 -77 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to request proposals for plumbing, heating, ventilation <br />and air conditioning preventative maintenance services for the city's Division of <br />Recreation; further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to <br />enter into an agreement with the contractor selected in the RFP process. Councilman <br />Brossard moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance 2014 -77 adopted 6 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -78 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />purchase of 5,000 tons of stone for various Service Department needs throughout the city <br />as detailed in the specifications on file, further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract with the lowest and best bidder(s) to purchase said stone, after Board of Control <br />3 <br />
