and included in each paycheck as follows: <br /> 4% after employee completes 5 years <br /> 5% after employee completes 10 years <br /> 6% after employee completes 15 years <br /> 7% after employee completes 20 years <br /> Employees under this paragraph shall have their longevity pay fixed on their base rate of <br /> pay on December 31, 2008, until such time the employee would receive a greater payment under <br /> paragraph Section 2, below. <br /> In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of longevity <br /> increments as herein above set forth, no credit shall be given for part-time service, but such <br /> limitation is the only exclusion for the purpose of computing longevity increments, and the <br /> exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of any other benefits which may <br /> be due them for part-time service as employees of the safety department. <br /> SECTION 2: Employees hired after January 1, 1990 shall, effective January 1, 2009, receive <br /> longevity in accordance with the following schedules on their anniversary date, which shall be <br /> computed into their overtime rate. No employee shall suffer a reduction in the amount received <br /> due to being placed on this scale. <br /> $500.00 after employee completes five (5) years <br /> $1,000.00 after employee completes ten (10) years <br /> $1,500.00 after employee completes fifteen years (15) years <br /> $2,000 after employee completes twenty (20) years <br /> $2,500 after employee completes twenty-five (25) years <br /> ARTICLE 31: <br /> SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL <br /> SECTION 1: All full-time employees working first (1st) shift, also known as day shift, shall not <br /> be entitled to any shift differential. All full-time employees working any second (2nd) shift <br /> hours, also known as afternoon shift, and afternoon swing shifts shall receive a shift differential <br /> in the amount of one dollar ($1.00) per hour. All full-time employees working any third (3r1) <br /> shift hours, also known as midnight shift, shall receive a shift differential in the amount of <br /> seventy-five cents ($.75) per hour. <br /> ARTICLE 32: <br /> WAGES <br /> SECTION 1: Effective January 1, 2012, Dispatchers shall be paid in accordance with the <br /> following schedule, which will amount to a minimum of seventy one percent (71%) of the <br /> negotiated years one (1)through year five (5) of the Police Officer's union contract for 2012. <br /> 23 <br />
