Council Minutes of 06-02-2015 <br /> Andrew Harant, Lakewood, Ohio introduced himself to Council and said he is proud to <br /> serve the community as the new Manager of the North Olmsted branch of Cuyahoga <br /> County Public Library. He reviewed the benefits of the library and says he looks forward <br /> to seeing everyone at the library. <br /> Tim Smith, 6053 Sherwood Drive said last Saturday night he had the pleasure of <br /> attending the Ice Show. It was a great show and incorporated the history of North <br /> Olmsted. Jeff Marshall always coordinates it very well. At intermission, they <br /> encouraged everyone to tour the facility. He had the opportunity to do this, and everyone <br /> was very impressed with the improvements to the Recreation Center, especially the <br /> workout area. <br /> LEGISLATION <br /> Resolution 2015-38 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br /> Resolution proclaiming July as Parks and Recreation Month in the City of North <br /> Olmsted, Ohio. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br /> Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2015-38 adopted 6-0. <br /> Ordinance 2015-40 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br /> Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br /> expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2015, as <br /> amended. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three <br /> readings as this was discussed in committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br /> Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The <br /> motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br /> 2015-40 adopted 6-0. <br /> Resolution 2015-41 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br /> Resolution adopting the Alternative Tax Budget of the City of North Olmsted for the <br /> fiscal year beginning January 1, 2016, and submitting the same to the County Fiscal <br /> Officer, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Ordinance 2015-42 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance amending Section 555.03(k) of Chapter 555 (Noise Control) of the General <br /> Offenses Code, entitled "Specific Prohibitions," in order to regulate the operation of lawn <br /> mowers on public property. <br /> Resolution 2015-43 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with LK Heating & Cooling, <br /> Inc. to perform maintenance services upon the heating and cooling equipment at various <br /> city buildings, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Ordinance 2015-44 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance providing for the submission of an amendment to the electors of the City of <br /> North Olmsted to Article IX, Section 4 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted to <br /> eliminate the necessity of a primary election in the event that more than six (6) candidates <br /> 4 <br />
