Councilman Schumann made a motion to approve CMS15-3206 Tina's Nail Salon located at 27753 Lorain Road. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. CMS 15-3206 Tina's Nail Salon approved 7-0. • Discussed next was CMS15-3207 Blakeslee Equipment Co. office building located at 29515 Lorain Road. The proposal consists of the demolition of an existing house on the property and new construction of an 1,800 sq. ft. single occupant office building with a small parking lot, landscaping with irrigation, limited lighting and new driveway placement. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of CMS15-3207 Blakeslee Equipment Co. Councilman Schumann made a motion to approve CMS15-3207 Blakeslee Equipment Co. office building located at 29515 Lorain Road. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. CMS 15-3207 Blakeslee Equipment Co. office building approved 7-0. • Discussed next was Ordinance 2015-59 which is an Ordinance repealing Chapter 713 of the Business Regulation Code entitled "Licensing of Rental Units" and creating a new Chapter 1319 of the Building Code entitled "Licensing of Rental Units," and declaring an emergency. This proposed legislation is another opportunity for Council to help clean up the Codified Ordinances. Rental licensing will be taken out of the Business Code and placed in the Building Code. This allows the elimination of unnecessary verbiage. Director Wenger expressed her hope meeting a goal of conducting annual inspections of rental housing. She also explained the need for more staff to meet this goal. An amended exhibit to this legislation was also presented to the committee. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Ordinance 2015-59. Councilman Schumann made a motion to amend Ordinance 2015-59. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2015-59 amended 7-0. • Discussed next was Ordinance 2015-61 which is an Ordinance amending Building Code Chapter 1345 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled, "Swimming Pools" in order to incorporate state code amendments. This legislation updates our Codes to comply with state codes as they have changed. An amended exhibit was presented to the committee. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Ordinance 2015-61. Councilman Schumann made a motion to amend Ordinance 2015-61. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2015-61 amended 7-0. • Discussed next was Ordinance 2015-62 which is an Ordinance amending and re- establishing Sections 1301 and 1305 and repealing Sections 1303, 1307 and 1309 4
