"Critters" include
but are not limited to cats, dogs, rats, raccoons, yellow jackets, wasps or other
stinging insects. This is a problem that has developed over the years due to the
economic situation involving real estate. There was some discussion about an
amendment due to the fact that come November, there may be some Charter
changes which would affect how this Section would work. They received the
amendment after the agenda was published, so this will be placed on the next
Council agenda on second reading "as amended". Councilman Barker made a
motion to recommend approval of Ordinance 2015-67 which was seconded by
Councilwoman Williamson. The committee voted 2 — 0 to recommend approval
of Ordinance 2015-67. He thanked Councilman Schumann for his hard work in
researching this as well as the Law Department. In Councilman Schumann's
research, with the help of Clerk Gallo, they discovered that surrounding
communities didn't have anything like this in place. They requested any
legislation regarding this issue if adopted by City Council. Again this shows how
North Olmsted leads in many ways that not only helps our community, but others
as well. With the amendment not getting to the Clerk's office on time, this
Ordinance will be put back on second reading for the next Council meeting.
Councilman Schumann, Chairman of the Building,Zoning and Development Committee:
The BZD Committee met on August 25, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee
members Schumann, Barker and Williamson; Council members Hemann and Kearney;
Law Director Gareau, Safety/Service Director Glauner and applicant, Dale Schmidt.
• Discussed first was CMS 15-3645 Exit 2 Storage located at 6770 Industrial
Parkway.
