PART 2 -- MATERIALS <br /> 2.01 MATERIALS <br /> A. Metal Flashing <br /> 1. Exposed to View: Provide prefinished 0.050 inches aluminum. Finish shall be fullstrength <br /> Kynar 500 baked-on paint finish with a 20 year warranty. <br /> 2. Concealed from View: Provide a minimum of 22 ga. galvanized steel sheet, <br /> stainless steel sheet, or mill-finished aluminum sheet. <br /> B. Nails, screws, rivets, bolts and other fasteners: same material as sheet metal being <br /> attached. Nails shall be 18 gauge diameter shank, 1/4 inch diameter flat head, annularthread, <br /> diamond point, long enough to penetrate backing by at least 1 inch. Nails shall be <br /> spaced 3 inches on center unless other spacing is indicated. Exposed fasteners shallmatch <br /> finish of metal being fastened. <br /> C. Reglets shall be formed of 300 series stainless steel, minimum of 0.020 inch. Reglets shall <br /> be Model CO for insertion in concrete, MA-4 for insertion in masonry as manufactured by <br /> FRY Reglet Corporation. Corners shall be factory made, mitered and sealed. Furnish <br /> reglets to proper trade in sufficient time to be incorporated into the masonry or concrete <br /> work. <br /> D. Plastic cement shall conform to ASTM D2822. <br /> E. Sealants shall be silicone type. <br /> F. Sealer tape shall be polyisobutylene tape specifically manufactured for setting flanges on <br /> bituminous roofing such as Morrison and Company CL-50. <br /> PART 3 -- EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 FABRICATION <br /> A. Shop fabricateWork to greatest extent possible. Comply with details shown and applicable <br /> requirements of SMACNA "Architectural SheetMetalManual" and other recognized industry <br /> standards. Fabricate for waterproof and weather resistant performance; with expansion <br /> provisions for running work, sufficient to permanently prevent leakage, and damage or <br /> deterioration of the work. Comply with material manufacturer's instructions and <br /> 30048-005: 5/30/2012 07600-3 North Olmsted Phase 2 <br /> recommendations for forming material. Form exposed work without excessive oil-canning, <br /> buckling and toolmarks, true to line and levels as indicated, with exposed edges folded back <br /> to form hems. <br /> B. Roof penetration sheet metal work shall be provided and coordinated with the roofing <br /> system. The design and details shall conform to SMACNA "Architectural Sheet Metal <br /> Manual".
