Council Minutes of 12-15-2015 Councilwoman Hemann made a motion to approve the Mayor's reappointments of Sue Collander and Annie Kilbane to the Arts Commission for the term January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2019. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Reappointments approved 7-0. • The committee interviewed the Mayor's recommended appointments to the newly created Building and Zoning Board of Appeals. Director Wenger made the introductions on behalf of the candidates and gave a brief overview of each of their qualifications in accordance with the new requirements for the BZBA. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend all appointments to the Building and Zoning Board of Appeals. Councilwoman Hemann made a motion to appoint Robert Papotto to the Building and Zoning Board of Appeals for the term January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2020; Mike Raig for the term January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2019; Eric Allain for the term January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2018; Donna Sabo for the term January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2017; and Melissa Meredith for the term January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Appointment approved 7-0. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane wished everyone a happy holiday and a healthy and happy New Year. He commended Safety and Service Director Glauner for the outstanding way he's managed to keep the roads free of snow and salt. Lambert said the city will be saving money in the salt and overtime departments, so he expects that this money will not be wasted. He requested that the city is very careful with the salt, especially on streets like his, when the snow starts falling. They really don't need that much salt, and he's been emphasizing for years that the salt be used very sparingly on his street this winter season. LEGISLATION Ordinance 2015-104 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An Ordinance amending Chapter Fifteen, Title One of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled, "Taxation Code; Municipal Income Tax" in order to implement revised standards required by the Ohio Legislature, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2015-104 adopted 7-0. Ordinance 2015-107 introduced by Mayor Kennedy on behalf of himself and the entire City Council was given its third reading. An Ordinance to revise the Codified Ordinances by adopting current replacement pages; and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2015-107 adopted 7-0. Resolution 2015-109 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading.
