C. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS: All work specified under this Section shall <br />conform to the requirements of the following standard specifications: <br />1. "Specification for the Design, Fabrication and Erection of Structural Steel <br />for Buildings" of the American Institute of Steel Construction, New York, <br />N.Y. (referred to herein as AISC) latest edition. <br />2. "Specifications for the Design of Cold Formed Steel Structural <br />Members", of AISI, latest edition. <br />3. ASTM A325-14 "Specification for Structural Bolts, Steel, Heat Treated, <br />120/105 ksi Minimum Tensile Strength". <br />4. MBMA Metal Building Systems Manual <br />5. All pre-engineered metal building components shall be fabricated and <br />erected in accordance with the manufacturer's standard specifications <br />except where more stringent requirements are set forth in these <br />specifications. <br />1.03 QUALIFICATIONS: <br />A. QUALIFICATIONS OF WORKMEN: <br />1. All workmen and their supervisors engaged in the fabrication and <br />erection of pre-engineered metal building shall be employees of a <br />current member of the Metal Building Manufacturer's Association or a <br />factory authorized erector. <br />2. As a manufactured product, the design, detailing, fabrication and erection <br />of pre-engineered metal buildings shall be performed by or under the <br />direct supervision of a Registered Professional Engineer who is a <br />permanent full-time employee of the manufacturer of the pre- <br />engineered metal buildings. <br />3. Pre-engineered metal building shall be erected by the manufacturer or by a <br />factory authorized and licensed erection subcontractor. <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS: <br />A. SHOP DRAWINGS: The manufacturer shall prepare complete shop and <br />erection drawings for pre-engineered metal buildings. Shop drawings shall <br />indicate size, weight or gauge, spacing and elevation of all members; type and <br />location of all shop and field connections; and type, size, extent and sequence of <br />all welding. Welding symbols shall be those adopted by the American Welding <br />Society. Any field welds shall be indicated and fully described on shop drawings. <br />Shop drawings shall include all information needed for the erection of the <br />component parts of the structure. Shop drawings shall be submitted to the <br />Engineer for review and approval. The Engineer's review of shop drawings will <br />be for compliance with general design requirements and arrangement of members. <br />The Engineer's review and approval of shop drawings will not relieve the <br />manufacturer of his responsibility for the design and strength of pre-engineered <br />2012.01 <br />
