metal building components and their connections, correctness of dimensions <br />shown on shop drawings and general fit -up of parts to be erected. Shop drawings <br />shall include adequately dimensioned anchor bolt setting plans, transverse cross <br />sections, side wall, end wall and roof framing, flashing and sheeting, and <br />accessory installation details. Shop drawings shall be accompanied by complete <br />design calculations with design loads and design criteria. Shop drawings and <br />design calculations shall be signed and sealed by a Registered Professional <br />Engineer permanently employed by the manufacturer. <br />B. COLOR CHARTS: Color charts shall be submitted to the Engineer for <br />selection of panel and trim colors. <br />C. WELDING CERTIFICATES: Certificates of qualifications of all welders, <br />tackers and welding operators issued within the previous 12 months by an agency <br />acceptable to the Engineer shall be furnished to the Engineer for all such <br />personnel performing field welding on pre-engineered metal building. <br />D. CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE: Certificate of compliance with project <br />drawings and specifications shall be submitted to the Engineer. <br />E. WARRANTIES: Submit written warranties required by these specifications to the <br />Engineer. <br />1.05 PRODUCT HANDLING: <br />A. PROTECTION: <br />1. All necessary means shall be used to protect materials specified under this <br />Section from damage before, during and after installation. <br />2. The work of other trades shall be adequately protected from damage <br />resulting from work specified under this Section. <br />B. STORAGE AND HANDLING OF MATERIALS: <br />1. The Contractor shall exercise care in unloading, storing and erecting pre- <br />engineered building components to prevent damage to material and shop <br />finish. All steel shall be stored a minimum of four (4) inches above <br />ground on adequate supports. Material shall be kept free from dirt, grease <br />and other foreign matter. Clean steel of all dirt, grease and foreign matter <br />prior to erection. <br />2. Framing material shall be stored in such a manner that water will shed off <br />material with no pockets for accumulation. <br />3. Panels and trim shall be stored under watertight coverings at least four (4) <br />inches above ground on adequate supports. <br />2012.01 <br />
