Council Minutes of 04-19-2016 • Discussed first was CMS16-5165 BJ's Restaurant located at 25779 Brookpark Road to replace the former Smokey Bones location. The plan includes demolition of the existing building and construction of a new prototype for the restaurant including murals on the east and west sides. Councilman Barker questioned why these murals were appropriate and that Nuevo Acapulco had to remove theirs, but all present seemed to like the plan and it was approved by the Planning & Design Commission. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of CMS16-5165 BJ's Restaurant. Councilman Schumann made a motion to approve CMS16-5165 BJ's Restaurant located at 25779 Brookpark Road subject to recommendations set forth by the Planning & Design Commission. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. CMS16-5165 BJ's Restaurant approved 7-0. • Discussed next was Ordinance 2016-36 which is an Ordinance amending various sections of Chapter Eleven of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted titled "Planning and Zoning Code" for the purpose of changing the "Board of Zoning Appeals" to the "Building and Zoning Board of Appeals" and for the further purpose of eliminating reference to the defunct Architectural Review Board. This Ordinance amends the sections of the Code regarding Boards which no longer exist. Because this deals with the Zoning Code, a public hearing is required. The committee voted 3-0 to hold Ordinance 2016-36 in committee until a Public Hearing is held. • Discussed last was Ordinance 2016-37 which is an Ordinance amending various sections of Chapter Thirteen of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted titled "Building Code" for the limited purpose of changing the "Board of Building Code Appeals" to the "Building and Zoning Board of Appeals", and declaring an emergency. This is similar to Ordinance 2016-36 in the fact that this is amending the sections of the Code regarding Boards that no longer exist. This Ordinance does not deal with the Zoning Code, so a public hearing is not required. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Ordinance 2016- 37. The BZD Committee met Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 7:10 p.m. Present were committee members Schumann, Barker and Williamson; Councilman Brossard, Mayor Kennedy, Safety & Service Director Glauner, Planning & Development Director Wenger and guests. • Discussed was CMS 16-5330 Sleep Outfitters located at 26075 Lorain Road. The proposal consists of building renovations and site improvements. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend the approval of CMS 16-5330 Sleep Outfitters. Councilman Schumann made a motion to approve CMS 16-5330 Sleep Outfitters located at 26075 Lorain Road subject to recommendations set forth by the Planning & Design Commission. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. CMS16-5330 Sleep Outfitters approved 7-0. 4
