Council Minutes of 04-19-2016 <br /> Councilman Limpert, Chairman of the Environmental Control Committee: <br /> The Environmental Control Committee met Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 7:45 p.m. Present <br /> were committee members Limpert, Brossard and Hemann; Council President Jones; <br /> Council members Barker, Kearney, Schumann and Williamson; Safety & Service <br /> Director Glauner and guests. <br /> • Discussed was Resolution 2016-38 which is a Resolution authorizing the Mayor <br /> to purchase from Gorman Rupp Company replacement pumps for the sanitary <br /> sewer system lift station located at 25300 Al Moen Drive. Director Glauner <br /> explained that the current pumps are past their expectant life. The cost of the <br /> replacement would be approximately $27,000. The committee voted 3-0 to <br /> recommend approval of Resolution 2016-38. The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 <br /> p.m. <br /> Councilwoman Hemann, Chairwoman of the Intra-Governmental Relations Committee: <br /> The Intra-Governmental Committee met Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 7:55 p.m. Present <br /> were committee members Hemann, Limpert and Kearney; Council President Jones; <br /> Council members Barker, Brossard, Schumann and Williamson; Mayor Kennedy, Safety <br /> & Service Director Glauner, Planning & Development Director Wenger and guests. <br /> • Discussed was Resolution 2016-43 which is a Resolution in support of a <br /> statement of cooperation for the Aerozone Alliance. Councilwoman Hemann <br /> explained the Resolution as an idea being born from the Cuyahoga County <br /> Planning Commission and brought forth to North Olmsted, several other cities <br /> and two private entities who all share an interest in increased economic <br /> development opportunities that exist as neighbors to the Cleveland Hopkins <br /> International Airport. Director Wenger explained the Alliance, defining its <br /> beginnings and how information is shared today. She stated that some meetings <br /> have been held by the Alliance and the members are in the process of sharing data <br /> and other factual information. She further stated that at the present time, there <br /> have been introductions made between various private companies for the purpose <br /> of collaboration of information and ideas that could be of mutual benefit. <br /> Committee members Kearney and Limpert expressed that the Alliance is a <br /> positive venture and that the city should participate. Councilwoman Hemann <br /> made a motion to recommend the approval of Resolution 2016-43. The motion <br /> was seconded by Councilman Limpert, and the committee voted 3-0 to <br /> recommend approval of Resolution 2016-43. The meeting was adjourned at 8:02 <br /> p.m. <br /> Councilwoman Hemann took a moment of personal privilege to announce that in <br /> celebration of Earth Day, there will be a Yoga Workshop on Saturday, April 23, 2016 <br /> from noon until 2:00 p.m. This workshop is at no cost to residents who have <br /> memberships at the Recreation Center. Non-members will be charged a fee of$20 which <br /> will be applied to a membership if they choose to join the Recreation Center on the date <br /> of the Workshop. Councilwoman Hemann will be donating her time to instruct the <br /> Workshop. She thanked Councilman Brossard for his cooperation and putting, the <br /> program together with her. <br /> 5 <br />
