Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this was discussed in the Finance Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2016-41 adopted 7-0. Ordinance 2016-42 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An Ordinance making appropriation and authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to demolish an existing structure and construct a new metal prefabricated building on the site of the former primary tank Number One Building at the Waste Water Treatment Plant, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2016-43 introduced by Mayor Kennedy on behalf of himself, Council President Jones and the entire City Council was given its second reading. A Resolution in support of a statement of cooperation for the Aerozone Alliance. Resolution 2016-45 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Russ Bassett Company to purchase consoles and special equipment designed for the North Olmsted Police and Fire Central Dispatch Center; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate such purchase, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2016-46 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2016, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2016-47 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending Section 926.15(c) of Chapter Nine of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted titled "Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code" for the limited purpose of changing the "Board of Building Code Appeals" to the "Building and Zoning Board of Appeals" and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2016-48 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending various sections of Chapter One of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted titled "Administrative Code" for the purpose of (1) removing reference to abolished boards and commissions; and (2) reassigning duties previously undertaken by the abolished position of Clerk of Commissions; and (3) updating employee titles, and declaring an emergency.
