Finally, there was a total of 388 traffic cases (both state and local charges) in 2014. That number increased to 559 in 2015, or about 31%. Director of Finance Copfer: • They sold $1,605,000 of Bond anticipation Notes for street improvements on March 22, 2016 at a .07% yield and a 1.25% coupon. The transaction closed today and the city received the money for the street projects. • Tuesday, March 29, 2016 the February summary and detailed financial, revenue and expenditure reports and fund summary were E-mailed to all of Council, Mayor, Directors and union representatives. Note that income tax collections were lagging 1% behind the plan, but this was probably due to a timing difference in collections as in March the city recovered that lag. Council President Jones, Committee of the Whole: The Committee of the Whole met Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the audio and visual system in Council Chambers. Present were all of Council, Mayor Kennedy, Safety & Service Director Glauner, Human Resources Director Farver and Jason Thomas from Go2IT. Mr. Thomas answered Council's questions from a previous Committee of the Whole meeting. Council approved an increase of$693.94 for the cable to be installed to the video system and also approved new ceiling speakers at a cost of approximately $1,364.20. The project should be completed sometime in May. Councilman Barker made a motion to approve the project. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson, and Council approved the project with a vote of 7-0. The meeting was adjourned at 7:14 p.m. Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Public Safety, Health& Welfare Committee: The Public Safety Committee met on March 22, 2016 at 8:34 p.m. Present were committee members Barker, Williamson and Brossard; Council President Jones; Council members Hemann, Kearney, Limpert and Schumann; Mayor Kennedy, Finance Director Copfer, Safety & Service Director Glauner, Human Resources Director Farver and guests. • Discussed was Liquor Permit # 1485870 which is a new D5 permit for Cifrancic Lenze Enterprises LLC, DBA Rythem & Brews, located at 24189 Lorain Road. There was no objection from the North Olmsted Police Dept., and there was no discussion from Committee or Council. A motion was made by Councilman Barker to recommend to not object to Liquor Permit #1485870 for Rythem & Brews. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson, and the committee voted 3-0 to not object to the liquor permit. The meeting was adjourned at 8:38 p.m. Councilman Barker made a motion to not object to Liquor Permit# 1485870 which is a new D5 permit for Cifrancic Lenze Enterprises LLC, DBA Rythem& Brews, located at 24189 Lorain Road.
