Council Minutes of 06-07-2016 Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2016-60 adopted 6-0. Resolution 2016-61 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution making appropriation and authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to replace the roof of Building No. 15, including elimination of Zimpro stacks, at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract with the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2016-62 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution making appropriation and authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to replace the roof of Building No. 14 at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract with the same with the lowest and best bidder. Ordinance 2016-65 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President Jones on behalf of herself and the entire City Council. An Ordinance to revise the Codified Ordinances by adopting current replacement pages; and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2016-66 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 139 of the Administrative Code, entitled "Department of Public Safety" in order to establish a full-time maintenance position within the department, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2016-67 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative personnel for 2016 to create the full-time position of maintenance personnel in the Department of Public Safety (Section 8A) and adjust the salary range for the maintenance position in the Division of Aging (Section 5C) to provide uniformity; and to otherwise restate the compensation rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2016-68 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the Bradley Road Pump Station Rehabilitation Project, as detailed in the specifications on file with the City Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. 9
