My computer "CRASHED" and I lost all the information, but I remember enough. Here are the itemized sequence of events. 1. I received a letter from a company that appeared to be an affiliate of CEI/First Energy. I'll call it Company X The letter states that my Electric Utility Service Provider will be switch AUTOMATICALLY to Company X if Comapny X do not hear from me otherwise, WITHIN 7 DAYS. The letter was delivered by the US Postal Service as a regular First Class mail. 2. I called Company X and informed them that I WANT to stay with CEI/First Energy. I voiced my concern about the inappropriateness/unfairness. 3. I called CEI/First Energy, informed them I wish to stay with CEI/First Energy. CEI/First Energy told me to notify Company X. I Informed CEI/First Energy of item 2. CEI/First Energy told me that if any Electric Service Brokerage company initiate such switch, CEI/First Energy will contact me by regular US Mail, giving me 7 days to respond either way (confirm or deny). 4. I called the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) to complain. PUCO informed me that they cannot do anything because the law was passed. PUCO told me that I could complete a form at the PUCO website to block the specific Electric Service Broker from switching my service. However, it is ONLY for the specific Brokerage Company. PUCO adviced that I file my concern with my city of residence, NORTH OLMSTED, in my case. 5. I called you and relayed the above. You suggested I send you an email. You will read the message at the North Olmsted City Council Meeting (First and Third Tuesdays and Thursdays of each month). 7. To ensure my wishes of staying with CEI/First Energy is received by Company X, I completed the form provided by Company X. 8. Exactly 30 days after completing the form, I received a letter from CEI/First Energy that Company X will be my new Electric Service Provider. I immediately called CEI/First Energy, told them I do NOT wish to switch. I WANT TO STAY WITH CEI/FIRST ENERGY. In addition, I do not want to switch. I asked for I of 2 6/21/16, 12:57 PM
