Council Minutes of 06-21-2016 <br /> Resolution 2016-62 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br /> Resolution making appropriation and authorizing the Director of Public Service to <br /> advertise for bids for the award of a contract to replace the roof of Building No. 14 at the <br /> Wastewater Treatment Plant, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, <br /> and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract with <br /> the same with the lowest and best bidder. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The <br /> motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution <br /> 2016-62 adopted 5-0. <br /> Ordinance 2016-36 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br /> Ordinance amending various sections of Chapter Eleven of the Codified Ordinances of <br /> the City of North Olmsted titled "Planning and Zoning Code" for the purpose of changing <br /> the "Board of Zoning Appeals" to the "Building and Zoning Board of Appeals" and for <br /> the further purpose of eliminating reference to the defunct Architectural Review Board. <br /> Ordinance 2016-65 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of herself and the <br /> entire City Council was given its second reading. An Ordinance to revise the Codified <br /> Ordinances by adopting current replacement pages; and declaring an emergency. <br /> Councilman Kearney suspended the rule requiring three readings as this was discussed in <br /> Finance Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed <br /> unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br /> Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2016-65 adopted 5-0. <br /> Ordinance 2016-66 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy <br /> was given its second reading. An Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 139 <br /> of the Administrative Code, entitled "Department of Public Safety" in order to establish a <br /> full-time maintenance position within the department, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Councilman Kearney suspended the rule requiring three readings as this was discussed in <br /> Finance Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br /> unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br /> Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2016-66 adopted 5-0. <br /> Council Clerk Gallo stated for the record that Resolution 2016-57 was introduced by <br /> Mayor Kennedy on behalf of himself, and Council members Williamson and Brossard <br /> were added as co-sponsors. <br /> Ordinance 2016-67 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy <br /> was given its second reading. An Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for <br /> various administrative and legislative personnel for 2016 to create the full-time position <br /> of maintenance personnel in the Department of Public Safety (Section 8A) and adjust the <br /> salary range for the maintenance position in the Division of Aging (Section 5C) to <br /> provide uniformity; and to otherwise restate the compensation rates and descriptions for <br /> various administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017, and <br /> declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney suspended the rule requiring three <br /> readings as this was discussed in Finance Committee. The motion was seconded by <br /> Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for <br /> adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. <br /> Ordinance 2016-67 adopted 5-0. <br /> 8 <br />
