Council Minutes of 08-02-2016 <br /> moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed <br /> unanimously. Resolution 2016-68 adopted 7-0. <br /> Ordinance 2016-69 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy <br /> was given its third reading. An Ordinance repealing Chapter 751 of the North Olmsted <br /> Codified Ordinances, entitled "Game Rooms" which established to license and regulate <br /> amusement arcades. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br /> by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2016-69 adopted 7- <br /> 0. <br /> Resolution 2016-72 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy <br /> was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to <br /> advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the Pine <br /> Basin Drainage Project, as detailed in the specifications on file with the City Engineer, <br /> and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for <br /> the same with the lowest and best bidder. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The <br /> motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution 2016- <br /> 72 adopted 7-0. <br /> Ordinance 2016-75 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted <br /> by rezoning a portion of the split zoned property identified as Permanent Parcel No. 232- <br /> 34-016 and the entire property identified as Permanent Parcel No. 232-34-017 from <br /> Single Residence B to General Retail Business. <br /> Ordinance 2016-76 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance establishing Chapter 176 of the Administrative Code entitled "Job Retention <br /> Grant Program" to provide incentives for business expansion in the City of North <br /> Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Ordinance 2016-77 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance authorizing the Mayor and Finance Director to enter into negotiated expansion <br /> of sewer service area defined by Exhibit B of the Sewer Service Agreement with the <br /> County of Cuyahoga, as amended and restated in 2013. <br /> Ordinance 2016-78 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman <br /> Hemann. An Ordinance amending Section 957.01 of Chapter 957 (Alcoholic Beverages <br /> on Public Grounds) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted in order to <br /> permit alcohol to be sold and consumed at the VFW Post 7647 Tent at the 2016 North <br /> Olmsted Community Council Homecoming, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Councilwoman Hemann made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as <br /> this was discussed in the Public Safety Committee. The motion was seconded by <br /> Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Councilwoman Hemann moved for <br /> adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br /> unanimously. Roll Call: Hemann, yes; Williamson, yes; Barker, no; Schumann, yes; <br /> Brossard, yes; Limpert, yes; Kearney, yes.
