Council Minutes of 10-18-2016 Councilwoman Hemann made a comment with her yes vote. I would like to address the concern about traffic in general in the City of North Olmsted. If you live on the other end of town and you are on Clague Road it will back right up to West Lake from Lorain Road several times a day. Butternut Ridge used to be not very well traveled. It is now a main street with traffic jams. Even at 7:OOp.m. in the evening I was in a traffic jam trying to come here one evening so I think it is a problem in general and that our timing project where we are looking at reviewing timing all along Lorain Road could help relieve some of the traffic on the streets that go through Lorain Road and I believe in other areas of the city we have made the accommodation of making right turn on red so I think in this instance my vote is yes, but I'd be very happy to revisit if it became a larger issue. An Ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted by rezoning a portion of the split zoned property identified as Permanent Parcel No. 232- 34-016 and the entire property identified as Permanent Parcel No. 232-34-017 from Single Residence B to General Retail Business. Resolution 2016-93 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one year contract with TAC Computer, Inc. in order to provide maintenance and repair services to computer hardware and software in the North Olmsted Police Department, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2016-95 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning & Development to negotiate the sale of city owned real property identified as PPN 234-12-052, vacant land located at 6652 Charles Road, and subject to review and approval by the Director of Law, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with a purchaser, and further requiring that the net proceeds from the sale shall be directed into the Building and Land Acquisition and Improvement Fund. Ordinance 2016-96 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An Ordinance replacing existing Chapter 927 (Storm Water Management and Urban Sediment Pollution Abatement Systems) of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code with new Chapter 927 (Erosion and Sediment Control) to meet new and updated requirements of the Ohio EPA associated with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program requirements. Ordinance 2016-97 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An Ordinance replacing existing Chapter 928 (Post Construction Stormwater Management Regulations) of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code with new Chapter 928 (Comprehensive Stormwater Management) to meet new and updated requirements of the Ohio EPA associated with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program requirements.
