Council Minutes of 10-18-2016
Councilwoman Hemann made a comment with her yes vote. I would like to address the
concern about traffic in general in the City of North Olmsted. If you live on the other end
of town and you are on Clague Road it will back right up to West Lake from Lorain Road
several times a day. Butternut Ridge used to be not very well traveled. It is now a main
street with traffic jams. Even at 7:OOp.m. in the evening I was in a traffic jam trying to
come here one evening so I think it is a problem in general and that our timing project
where we are looking at reviewing timing all along Lorain Road could help relieve some
of the traffic on the streets that go through Lorain Road and I believe in other areas of the
city we have made the accommodation of making right turn on red so I think in this
instance my vote is yes, but I'd be very happy to revisit if it became a larger issue. Thank
you.
Ordinance 2016-75 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading.
