Council Minutes of 12-6-2016
& Development Director Wenger; Safety & Services Director Glauner; Director of
Finance Copfer and guests.
• Discussed was Resolution 2016-129 which is a Resolution authorizing the Mayor
to enter into a Cooperation Agreement with Cuyahoga County/The Cuyahoga
County Department of Public Works for the purpose of sharing costs associated
with a culvert replacement on Bradley Road where it crosses over French Creek.
The Resolution states the total cost to reconstruct has been estimated at
$756,000.00 and the County will pay 80% of the construction costs and 60% of
the engineering costs. The Safety & Services Director noted this was necessary as
the culvert had reached the end of its useful life. Unfortunately, a section of
Bradly Road will need to be redone over the culvert. This was a concern before
the project, but they did not want to delay the Bradley Road Project so the City
will be replacing that portion of Bradley Road. Councilman Limpert asked what
the expected life of the new culvert would be and the Safety & Services Director
estimated 25 to 30 years. A motion was made to recommend approval to Council
and it passed 2 to 0.
Councilman Limpert Vice Chairman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee:
The Inter -Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 7:24
p.m. Present were committee members Limpert and Kearney; Council members Barker,
Brossard, Schumann and guests.
• Discussed were the reappointments of several committee members.
