An Ordinance accepting a permanent
easement for the installation and maintenance of a stormwater sewer and drainage
ditch on permanent parcel number 231-09-023 from Jeffrey and Laura Sturgeon
for the purpose of providing stormwater drainage services, and declaring an
emergency. The Safety and Services Director noted this was necessary as it
allows access to the drainage ditch between West 231s' street and Alexander.
While there is no planned work for this easement it was the desire of Mr.
Sturgeon to acquire the easement as soon as possible to enable the City to do any
work. Last year I partnered with the
VFW at the Noel event to fundraise for the North Olmsted Oxcart Food Pantry. This
year, I was traveling and was unable to participate in the Noel event, but I did partner
with the VFW Auxiliary which held a bake sale to benefit the Oxcart Pantry. I am proud
to announce that the proceeds from the bake sale totaled $691 and was given to the
Oxcart Pantry. That $691 is able to be converted to approximately $1900 in food
purchases so I'd like to extend a very big thank you to the North Olmsted VFW Post
7647 Auxiliary for the hard work and generous donation to the Oxcart and to tell you that
when Ms. Simerale delivered the check they cried. Thank you to our VFW.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
Sam Kaufman
4500 Porter Road
North Olmsted
Mr. Kaufman fears for his family's safety due to the road condition in front of his house.
He brought some photos and discussed multiple accidents that have happened in front of
and on his property due to the road.
