Council Minutes of 2-21-2017 <br />Discussed was the appointment of Mr. Ralph Mackey to fill a vacant position on <br />the Board of Building and Zoning Appeals for the term January 1, 2016 to <br />December 31, 2017. Councilwoman Hemann welcomed Mr. Mackey, presented <br />his background and asked him to discuss his plant maintenance background. Mr. <br />Mackey set forth a number of relative business and personal qualifications and <br />experiences that more than qualified him for the committee. Councilman Limpert <br />offered that Mr. Mackey would be a welcome addition to the committee as did <br />Councilman Brossard. Councilman Kearney commented that he has known Mr. <br />Mackey for several years and that he would be a great addition to the committee. <br />Councilwoman Hemann made a motion to recommend Mr. Mackey to fill the <br />vacant seat on the Board of Building and Zoning Appeals to Council. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed 3-0. <br />Councilwoman Hemann made a motion to approve Mr. Ralph Mackey to the Board of <br />Building and Zoning Appeals for the term of January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Mr. Mackey is <br />appointed to the Board of Building and Zoning Appeals by a vote of 6-0. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />No comments. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2017-7 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Mad Bomber Fireworks <br />Productions to provide a fireworks display for the 2017 North Olmsted Fourth of July <br />Celebration. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2017-7 adopted 6-0. <br />Ordinance 2017-8 was introduced by Council President Jones and all of Council and was <br />given its third reading. An Ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for the <br />elected officials of the City of North Olmsted for the term of office commencing January <br />1, 2018 and ending December 31, 2021. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />2017-8 adopted 6-0. <br />Ordinance 2017-9 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Chapter 953 entitled "Recreation Center Complex" in order to <br />update the petty cash allocation for the Recreation Center and to eliminate the obsolete <br />Concessions Division. Councilman Brossard moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2017-9 adopted <br />6-0. <br />Resolution 2017-10 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its third reading. <br />A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a letter agreement with Crown Castle to <br />provide for the modification and extension of a lease agreement to continue the <br />occupancy of real property for the Monopole Cellular Tower located at Clague Park; and <br />
