Council Minutes of 3-7-2017 <br />President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Planning & Development Wenger and <br />guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2017-24. A Resolution dispensing with the RFQ <br />process and authorizing the Mayor to renew a contract with M133 Consulting LLC <br />for the purpose of providing economic development consulting services to the <br />City. Ms. Wenger has a good working relationship with this company and the <br />vision she shares with it. The committee voted 2-0 in favor of recommending the <br />Resolution. <br />Councilman Brossard Chairman of the Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings <br />Committee: <br />The Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee met on Tuesday, February 28, <br />2017 at 6:50 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard, Kearney and Schumann; <br />Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Recreation Commissioner Betsy Drenski and <br />guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2017-25. A Resolution dispensing with the Request for <br />Proposal (R.F.P.) process required to obtain the services of a vendor to provide <br />plumbing and HVAC preventative maintenance services at the Recreation Center <br />and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a two (2) year contract with the Brewer - <br />Garrett Company, and declaring an emergency. A presentation was made by <br />Commissioner Drenski. Essentially, this is as close to a slam dunk as you will <br />find. We have been working with the same company for eight years. They are <br />very familiar and reliable. The service technician lives in North Olmsted and is on <br />call. The contract is going up $665 from the last one to $33,451.00. Councilman <br />Brossard made a motion for approval. It was seconded by Councilman Kearney. <br />The committee voted 3-0 in favor of recommending the Resolution. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />No comments. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2017-13 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase a new Ford F-650 truck and related <br />equipment from Valley Truck Centers at a cost of $70,375.00, through the State Purchase <br />Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to <br />effectuate such purchase, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Kearney <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2017-13 adopted 5-0. <br />Resolution 2017-15 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract with the Sindyla Consulting Group LLC for the purpose of providing legal and <br />consulting services related to the telecommunication industry, including negotiation of <br />agreements for the location of cell towers on City owned properties. Councilman <br />Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and <br />
