Council Minutes of 4-4-2017 <br />• Discussed next was Resolution 2017-31. A Resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Planning and Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to <br />provide concrete sidewalk replacement services for the Burns Road Sidewalk <br />Improvement Project, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, <br />and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to <br />contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Mayor Kennedy explained <br />the City had applied for and received Community Development Block Grant <br />funding in the amount of $150,000.00. These funds will be used to replace the <br />sidewalks in most need of repair along Burns road. The project is projected to <br />begin in 2017. A motion was made to approve to all of Council. The motion <br />passed 3-0. <br />Councilman Schumann Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee: <br />The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at <br />7:15 p.m. Present were committee members Schumann, Rahm and Williamson; Council <br />members Brossard, Hemann, Kearney and Limpert; Council President Jones; Mayor <br />Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety and Service Glauner, Director of <br />Planning and Development Wenger and guests. <br />• Discussed was CMS 17-7950 Exit 2 Storage 6770 Industrial Parkway. The <br />proposal consist of a building addition on a parcel zoned for limited industry. The <br />owner proposes to build two additional storage facilities for an additional 7,000 <br />square feet of storage. This was recommended by the Planning Commission 7-0. <br />This expansion was indicated in plans previously brought to fruition by the <br />applicant. The motion passed to recommend to Council 3-0 with little discussion. <br />Councilman Schumann made a motion to approve CMS 17-7950 Exit 2 storage. The <br />motioned was seconded by Councilman Rahm and passed unanimously. CMS -17-7950 <br />approved by a vote of 7-0. <br />Councilman Limpert Chairman of the Environmental Control Committee: <br />The Environmental Control Committee met on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 7:15 p.m. <br />Present were committee members Limpert, Brossard and Hemann; Council members <br />Kearney, Rahm and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy and guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2017-29. A Resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Public Service to advertise for bids for the service of leaf collection as per the <br />specifications on file and, further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract <br />for the same with the lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control approval. The <br />Mayor noted that we go out for proposal every couple years for leaf collection. <br />The last time resulted in two companies that provided bids. The City would like to <br />continue the same process of moving throughout from East to West. We would <br />like to be able to continue to track the progress on the website so residents can be <br />better informed on where they are.
