1139 01 PLANNING AND ZONING CODE 92 <br />A. Spacing and separation. Entertainment device arcades shall be <br />located a minimum distance of 500 feet, measured in a straight <br />line in any direction from the closest point of the building and <br />parking lot of the proposed business to the property line of any <br />residentially zoned property, place of worship, public or <br />private school, park, playground, library, or public building. <br />No entertainment device arcade shall be located closer than <br />1,000 feet from another entertainment device arcade. <br />B. Minimum floor area. The interior of the entertainment device <br />arcade shall provide a minimum area of fifty (50) square feet <br />per entertainment device in each room in which entertainment <br />devices are located. <br />C. Maximum number. The maximum number of terminals, <br />computers, machines, and/or gaming stations within an <br />entertainment device arcade is twenty (20). <br />D. Parking. Required parking is one (1) parking space per every <br />terminal, plus one (1) space per every full time employee. <br />(e) Definitions. For the purposes of this section, the following definitions shall <br />apply: <br />(1) "Animal hospitals/clinics" means any facility used for the medical <br />treatment of animals, where animals may be boarded only during their <br />convalescence from such medical treatment, and where all operations <br />are conducted completely indoors. <br />(2) "Animal grooming facility" means any facility providing bathing or <br />trimming of domestic animals for a fee, where all operations are <br />conducted completely indoors. This term includes facilities that board <br />domestic animals for a maximum period of forty-eight hours incidental <br />to the grooming services provided. <br />(3) "Animal training facility" means any facility providing training of <br />domestic animals for a fee, where all operations are conducted <br />completely indoors. This term includes facilities that board domestic <br />animals for a maximum period of forty-eight hours incidental to the <br />training services provided. <br />(4) "Entertainment device arcade" means any business, establishment, <br />room, or place where four or more entertainment devices are kept for <br />use by the public or by persons other than the owner of the devices, <br />where persons give anything of value to access the use of the <br />entertainment devices or the premises, and the person may be given <br />anything of value by the operator, whether the giving occurs on or off <br />the premises or at the same time or a later time. <br />December 2016 Replacement <br />
