Council Minutes of 4-18-2017 <br />along with specifics about employment for the position. Suspension was <br />requested by Director Glauner as there is a current need in the City. Councilman <br />Rahm made a motion for approval with suspension. It was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Williamson and passed 2-0 in favor of recommendation. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />No comments. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2017-28 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution Authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />purchase of bulk treated rock salt for ice and snow removal operations as detailed in <br />specifications on file and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the <br />lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control approval. Councilwoman Williamson <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2017-28 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2017-29 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the service <br />of leaf collection as per the specifications on file and, further authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into a contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control <br />approval. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Brossard and passed unanimously. Resolution 2017-29 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2017-30 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of herself and all of <br />Council and was given its third reading. A Resolution proclaiming May 14th through May <br />201h as substance abuse prevention week in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Rahm moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Resolution 2017-30 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2017-31 introduced by Mayor Kennedy on behalf of himself and Councilman <br />Schumann and was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Planning and Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide <br />concrete sidewalk replacement services for the Burns Road Sidewalk Improvement <br />Project, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the <br />Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the <br />lowest and best bidder. Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2017-31 <br />adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2017-32 introduced by Mayor Kennedy on behalf of himself, Council <br />President Jones and Councilman Schumann and was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance (1) amending Chapters 1115 "Definitions," 1117 "Administration and <br />Enforcement," 1118 "Conditional Use Permit," 1119 "Building Permit and Certifications <br />of Occupancy," 1121 "Penalties and Remedies," 1126 "Commercial and Other Building <br />Permits," 1139 "Business Districts," and 1161 "Offstreet Parking and Loading" all within <br />5 <br />
