Council Minutes of 6-20-2017 <br />make our position known. Councilwoman Hemann made a motion to recommend <br />to Council. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed 3-0. <br />The Intra -Governmental Committee also met on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 7:02 p.m. <br />Present were committee members Hemann and Kearney; Council member Rahm; Mayor <br />Kennedy, Law Director Gareau and guests. <br />• Discussed was the appointment of Sarah Egan Reeves to the Landmarks <br />Commission to complete the unexpired term ending December 31, 2018. Ms. <br />Hemann welcomed Ms. Egan Reeves and thanked her for volunteering. Ms. <br />Hemann explained the committee meeting schedule and its role. The personal <br />interests of Ms. Egan Reeves with regard to history and historic homes was also <br />discussed. She was a member of the History Club while attending Kent State <br />University. We further discussed the background of the various other members <br />and how her resume seemed like a good compliment to those other members. <br />Councilman Kearney and Rahm thanked her for volunteering. Councilwoman <br />Hemann made a motion to recommend to Council the appointment of Ms. Egan <br />Reeves to the Landmarks Commission. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilwoman Hemann made a motion to approve the appointment of Ms. Sarah Egan <br />Reeves to the Landmarks Commission to fill the vacancy and complete the unexpired <br />term ending December 31, 2018. Councilman Limpert seconded the motion and it passed <br />unanimously. Ms. Sarah Egan Reeves appointment to the unexpired Landmarks <br />Commission term ending December 31, 2018 passed 6-0. <br />Councilman Rahm Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at <br />7:28 p.m. Present were committee members Rahm and Williamson; Council members <br />Hemann, Kearney, Limpert and Schumann; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy <br />and guests. <br />• Discussed was Liquor Permit 12574070005. This permit is a D5A for a <br />hotel/motel. The applicant is Carique Hospitality LLC., located at 5550 Great <br />Northern Boulevard. It's a new permit and there were no objections from the <br />Police Department. Councilman Rahm made a motion to not object to full <br />Council. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and the motion <br />passed 2-0. <br />Councilman Rahm made a motion not to object to Liquor Permit 12574070005 Carique <br />Hospitality, LLC. Councilwoman Williamson seconded the motion and it passed <br />unanimously.
