Council Minutes of 8-15-2017 <br />Ordinance 2017-50 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2017, and <br />declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the <br />rules requiring three readings as this was discussed in Committee and is time sensitive. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2017-50 adopted 6-0. <br />Ordinance 2017-51 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative <br />personnel for 2017 to adjust the salary range for the Network Administrator (Section 5B) <br />for clarity; and to otherwise restate the compensation rates and descriptions for various <br />administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017, and declaring <br />an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three <br />readings as this was discussed in Committee and is time sensitive. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance 2017-51 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2017-52 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Finance to solicit statements of qualifications <br />("SOQs") from qualified individuals or firms to provide professional services related to <br />employee retirement investment options in addition to those offered by the State of Ohio <br />Deferred Compensation Program; and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval <br />of the Board of Control, to enter into a personal services contract with the individual or <br />firm selected, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2017-53 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance accepting a deed from Warren P. Geiger and/or his successors in interest, <br />donating land to the City of North Olmsted. <br />Resolution 2017-54 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution approving the award of a job retention grant to Moen and further authorizing <br />the Mayor to enter into a Grant Agreement, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Kearney made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings as this was <br />discussed in Committee and is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />2017-54 adopted 6-0. <br />Ordinance 2017-55 introduced by Councilmembers Schumann and Rahm and was given <br />its second reading. An Ordinance amending Section 375.03 of the Traffic Code entitled <br />"Snowmobiles, Off -Highway Motorcycles and All Purpose Vehicles; Code Application; <br />Prohibited Operation" in order to increase nuisance regulations, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />3 <br />
