Council Minutes of 9-5-2017 <br />• Discussed was the Mayor's proposed 2018 sidewalk program. The Mayor <br />introduced the program, which will be done in phases beginning on the west end <br />of town. The program is in the early stages of development and more information <br />will be provided to Council at a later date. <br />Councilman Schumann Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee: <br />The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 <br />at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Schumann and Rahm; Council members <br />Hemann and Kearney; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director <br />of Planning & Development Lieber, Henderson Driveline owner Terry Branch and <br />guests. <br />• Discussed was CMS 17-9079 Henderson Driveline located at 31441 Lorain Road. <br />This is new construction. It's a 1.2 acre lot and 8,700 square foot building with <br />one curb cut on Lorain. No variances were needed. The Committee voted 2-0 to <br />recommend to Council. <br />Councilman Schumann made a motion to approve CMS 17-9079 Henderson Driveline <br />located at 31441 Lorain Road. The motion was seconded by Councilman Rahm and <br />passed unanimously. CMS 17-9079 approved 7-0. <br />Councilman Rahm Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at <br />7:15 p.m. Present were committee members Rahm, Williamson and Brossard; Council <br />members Kearney, Limpert and Schumann; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Safety & <br />Service Glauner and guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2017-56. A Resolution designating the lobby of The <br />City of North Olmsted Police Station as an Internet Purchase Safe Zone, and <br />declaring an emergency. The Director of Safety & Service and committee <br />members discussed the specifics pertaining to Resolution designating the lobby of <br />the Police Department as a safe place to conduct internet transactions. <br />Councilmembers also took part in the discussion. Councilman Rahm made a <br />motion to approve and it was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson. The <br />committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council. <br />LETTERS <br />Council received a letter from County Councilman Dale Miller regarding North <br />Olmsted's Council's Resolution 2017-41.
