Council Minutes of 10-17-2017 <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Rahm and passed unanimously. CMS 17-8799 <br />approved 7-0. <br />• Discussed last was CMS 17-9739 Ganley Westside located at 25730 Lorain Road. <br />The proposal consists of demolishing the existing 6,600 square foot service <br />building and constructing a new 17,740 square foot service building in the same <br />vicinity on the Ganley Westside Imports property. The property is zoned B-3 <br />General Business. Illumination levels are code complaint. In staff review, the <br />applicant was asked to review the condition of landscaping and fencing <br />throughout the site and to make any repairs or replacements necessary. No <br />signage is proposed. There was only one Planning and Design Commission <br />motion, which was the condition of the landscaping be assessed and improved <br />accordingly. The committee voted to recommend to Council 3-0 with the <br />Planning & Design Commission recommendation. <br />Councilman Schumann made a motion to approve with the Planning & Design <br />Commission recommendation CMS 17-9739 Ganley Westside located at 25730 Lorain <br />Road. The motion was seconded by Councilman Rahm and passed unanimously. CMS <br />17-9739 approved 7-0. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />No participation. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2017-66 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. <br />A Resolution approving of and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a collective <br />bargaining agreement with the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1267, <br />AFL-CIO for the City's Firefighters, for the period January 1, 2018 through December <br />31, 2020. <br />Resolution 2017-67 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. <br />A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to solicit bids for the rental of golf carts and other <br />vehicles for Springvale, and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for said <br />vehicle rentals, subject to approval by the Board of Control, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2017-68 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and Councilman Rahm and was <br />given its second reading. An Ordinance establishing a Sidewalk Maintenance Fund, after <br />approval from the Auditor of State, as a non -major special revenue fund to account for <br />the receipt of funds collected for sidewalk panel replacement and related expenditures. <br />Ordinance 2017-70 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. <br />An Ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to purchase an Emergency <br />Medical Vehicle for the North Olmsted Fire Department from Horton EMV at a cost of <br />$342,098.00, as priced through the State Purchasing Program; further authorizing the <br />Mayor to execute necessary contract documents, and declaring an emergency. <br />2 <br />
