Council Minutes of 10-17-2017 Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this was heard in committee and is time sensitive. Ordinance 2017-70 adopted 7-0. Resolution 2017-71 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to purchase concrete materials and related supplies, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2017-73 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for diesel fuel and gasoline products for use by the City of North Olmsted, as per specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor, after approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract to purchase such products. Ordinance 2017-74 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2017, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2017-75 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Kearney scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2017-73, Ordinance 2017-74 and Resolution 2017-75. The Director of Finance and Director of Safety & Service are asked to attend. Councilwoman Hemann scheduled an Intra -Governmental Relations Committee meeting for Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 6:45 p.m. to discuss appointments of two candidates to the Arts Commission to fill unexpired terms ending December 31, 2019 and December 31, 2020. 5
