Council Minutes of 10-17-2017 <br />Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this <br />was heard in committee and is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Rahm and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Rahm and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2017-70 <br />adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2017-71 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. <br />A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />award of a contract to purchase concrete materials and related supplies, as detailed in the <br />specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval <br />of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings as this was heard in committee and is time sensitive. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Councilwoman <br />Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann <br />and passed unanimously. Resolution 2017-71 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2017-72 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. <br />A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one year contract with TAC Computer <br />Inc., in order to provide maintenance and repair services to computer hardware and <br />software in the North Olmsted Fire Department. <br />Resolution 2017-73 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for diesel fuel <br />and gasoline products for use by the City of North Olmsted, as per specifications on file, <br />and authorizing the Mayor, after approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract <br />to purchase such products. <br />Ordinance 2017-74 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2017, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2017-75 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one year contract with TAC Computer <br />Inc. in order to provide maintenance and repair services to computer hardware and <br />software in the North Olmsted Police Department. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Kearney scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, October 24, <br />2017 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2017-73, Ordinance 2017-74 and Resolution <br />2017-75. The Director of Finance and Director of Safety & Service are asked to attend. <br />Councilwoman Hemann scheduled an Intra -Governmental Relations Committee meeting <br />for Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 6:45 p.m. to discuss appointments of two candidates to <br />the Arts Commission to fill unexpired terms ending December 31, 2019 and December <br />31, 2020. <br />5 <br />
