A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into a one year contract with TAC Computer Inc. in order to provide <br />maintenance and repair services to computer hardware and software in the North <br />Olmsted Police Department. This is a specialty company that has done <br />outstanding service for the special police system. The committee voted 3-0 to <br />recommend to Council. <br />• Discussed last was Ordinance 2017-74. An Ordinance to make and transfer <br />appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North <br />Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2017, and declaring an emergency. <br />This is basic end of the year movement of money from one fund to another. The <br />committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council with suspension. <br />Councilman Limpert asked for a moment of personal privilege. I just wanted to <br />congratulate my peers who were reelected yesterday as well as the Mayor and Directors. <br />It's been enjoyable working with you guys over the last four years and I'm looking <br />forward to the next four years, or at least two. I also wanted to thank Daniel Rahm who I <br />thought did an exceptional job as somebody we appointed. He was somebody who <br />learned quickly and was put in a lot of difficult committees. He did an excellent job. I <br />also want to congratulate Chris Glassburn, who will be joining us shortly. I am looking <br />forward to working with him as well. <br />Councilwoman Hemann Chairman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee: <br />The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 6:46 <br />p.m. Present were committee members Hemann, Limpert and Kearney; Mayor Kennedy, <br />Assistant Director of Finance Sperling, Director of Safety & Service Glauner and guests. <br />• Discussed was the appointment of Jennifer Taylor to the Arts Commission to fill <br />an unexpired term ending December 31, 2019. Chairwoman Hemann welcomed <br />Ms. Taylor and thanked for her being interested in volunteering with the Arts <br />Commission. Ms. Hemann noted Ms. Taylor was a licensed Real Estate <br />professional and had approximately 13 years of service with the Cuyahoga <br />County Public Library in the area of Environmental Services Management and <br />her volunteer work included the Renaissance Theater as an event planner and <br />fundraiser. She asked Ms. Taylor if she was aware of the general functions of the <br />Arts Commission and to give an overview of her professional background, <br />particularly experience suited to the Arts Commission. Ms. Taylor responded her <br />work with the library involved working on projects that produced a green <br />initiative and that was overall a very good fit for the Arts Commission's <br />diversified programs. She also stated her volunteer work with the theater would <br />allow her to participate in large event planning that is now part of the Arts <br />Commission goals and she could offer fundraising experience as well. Mr. <br />Limpert noted Ms. Taylor's diversified skill sets and since the Arts Commission <br />is now holding larger scale events Ms. Taylor would be a nice addition to the <br />current direction and trend of the Commission. Mr. Kearney added he was <br />appreciative of Ms. Taylor's interest in the City and thanked Ms. Taylor for her <br />3 <br />
