Council Minutes of 11-8-2017 Resolution 2017-73 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for diesel fuel and gasoline products for use by the City of North Olmsted, as per specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor, after approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract to purchase such products. Ordinance 2017-74 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. An Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2017, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings as this was heard in committee and is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption of Ordinance 2017-74. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2017-74 adopted 5-0. Resolution 2017-75 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one year contract with TAC Computer Inc. in order to provide maintenance and repair services to computer hardware and software in the North Olmsted Police Department. Ordinance 2017-76 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending Chapter 1145 "Limited Industry -Industrial Park District" of Chapter Eleven of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted titled "Planning and Zoning Code," for the purpose of implementing zoning code changes proposed by the City of North Olmsted Planning and Design Commission. Resolution 2017-77 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman Hemann. A Resolution proclaiming November as Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month in the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Hemann moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review as this was heard in caucus and is time sensitive. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to purchase asphalt & stone materials, as detailed by specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2017-79 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase replacement parts from Pelton Environmental Products, at a cost of $58,113.61, for the centrifuge at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and declaring an emergency.
