Council Minutes of 1-16-2018 • Discussed was Resolution 2018-1. A Resolution determining to proceed to submit to the electors of the City the question of issuing bonds, in the aggregate principal amount of $44,800,000, for the purpose of improving the City's park and recreational facilities by constructing, renovating, remodeling, adding to, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving facilities for aquatics, basketball, volleyball, ice skating, fitness, indoor and outdoor walking and gymnastics, ball fields, public spaces, locker rooms and spaces for related and supporting activities at the Recreation Center Complex; improving North Olmsted Community Park by constructing, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving a new football and soccer field, a band shell and performance stage, an all-purpose trail, playgrounds, bocce courts, parking areas and related supporting facilities; and improving existing ball fields, restrooms and other facilities, and improving Barton and Bradley Park by improving existing facilities and providing supporting site, street and sidewalk improvements; in each case together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto; and declaring an emergency. Many questions were asked and answered and a lot of information was provided. The concerns Council held regarding operating expenses were covered along with other issues. The Committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council. Councilman Brossard Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard and Williamson; Council members Glassburn, Hemann, Kearney and Schumann; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, and guests. • Discussed was Ordinance 2018-4. An Ordinance amending Section 505.15 entitled "Keeping, Maintaining and Feeding of Wild Animals" of Chapter Five of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted in order to include Geese, Ducks and Waterfowl, in the definition of wild animals, and declaring an emergency. After an explanation given by Councilwoman Hemann about the need to eliminate nuisance conditions related to the feeding of certain wildlife that were not previously specified within the existing Ordinance a motion was made by Councilman Brossard and seconded by Councilwoman Williamson to recommend approval to Council. The motion passed 2-0. • Discussed next was Liquor Permit 5401988 known as MME Restaurant Corp doing business as Old Vienna Restaurant located at 30111 Lorain Road. There was no objection from the Police Department. The Committee voted 2-0 to not obj ect. Councilman Brossard made a motion not to object to Liquor Permit 5401988 MME Restaurant Corp., doing business as Old Vienna Restaurant. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Liquor Permit 5401988 MME Restaurant Corp., not objected to by a vote of 7-0. • Discussed last was Liquor Permit 2882070 Frankies Pizza Inc., located at 4631-41 Great Northern Blvd. There was no objection from the Police Department and the Committee voted 2-0 to no object.
