Council Minutes of 1-16-2018 <br />Councilman Brossard made a motion not to object to Liquor Permit 2882070 Frankies <br />Pizza Inc. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br />unanimously. Liquor Permit 2882070 Frankies Pizza Inc., not objected to by a vote of 7- <br />0. <br />Councilman Schumann Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 7:10 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Schumann, Brossard and Kearney; Council members Glassburn, <br />Hemann and Williamson; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of <br />Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Human Resources Gallo and guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2018-3. A Resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Human Resources to solicit RFP's for a consultant to provide a communication <br />"fiber ring" survey, analysis and recommendations and, subject to approval of the <br />Board of Control, additionally authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for <br />such services, and declaring an emergency. This was discussed and approved as <br />part of the 2018 Budget. This is a redundant communications network for disaster <br />emergency for Police and Fire. As per the Director of Human Resources, the <br />objectives of the plan are to have a qualified telecommunications consulting firm <br />provide the City with essential information and data to set its goals and objectives <br />to facilitate the deployment of the fiber ring. To assist with determining the <br />appropriate location with attached fiber laterals as part of the ring as well as to <br />develop a sound location for a disaster recovery facility. Additionally, to help <br />develop an inventory of City assets and infrastructure required to support the <br />deployment of the fiber ring. They will also prepare an engineering study and <br />overall redundant fiber ring design with acceptable pathways to all attached city <br />campus resources and to assist the City staff in writing the RFP based on Council <br />review and approval and findings in the plan. The Committee recommended to <br />full Council by a vote of 3-0 with suspension. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />No comments. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2017-91 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance to make appropriations for Capital Improvements for the City of North <br />Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2018, as amended. Councilman Kearney <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2017-91 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2017-93 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its third reading. <br />A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Mad Bomber Fireworks <br />Productions to provide a fireworks display for the 2018 North Olmsted Fourth of July <br />Celebration, Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2017-93 adopted 7-0. <br />E <br />
