Council Minutes of 2-20-2018 Councilman Glassburn voted yes with comment. With this provision that will provide opportunities to residents in Ward I and Ward III to do bulk purchasing in remediating their sidewalks. The Mayor's administration has pledged also to try to create an opportunity with the vendor for residents of Ward II that will still be inspected this year to purchase at the same rate as the residents of Ward I and Ward III and I'm thankful the Administration will do what they can to extend that opportunity to residents of Ward II. Ordinance 2018-17 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2018 and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2018-18 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into continuing contract(s) with Cuyahoga County/the Cuyahoga County Engineer for the purpose of providing ongoing inspection services for bridges and culverts, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2018-19 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman Williamson on behalf of herself, Council President Jones and Councilwoman Hemann. An Ordinance amending Section 561.01 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Criminal Activity Nuisances Declared" of Chapter 561 entitled "Criminal Activity Nuisances" in order to remove domestic violence/protection order as nuisance activities subject to recovery of enforcement costs, and declaring an emergency. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon City streets, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2018-21 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets and locations in the City, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Engineering Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2018-22 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide cracksealing on various streets at various locations in the City, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder.
