Council Minutes of 2-20-2018 <br />Councilman Glassburn voted yes with comment. With this provision that will provide <br />opportunities to residents in Ward I and Ward III to do bulk purchasing in remediating <br />their sidewalks. The Mayor's administration has pledged also to try to create an <br />opportunity with the vendor for residents of Ward II that will still be inspected this year <br />to purchase at the same rate as the residents of Ward I and Ward III and I'm thankful the <br />Administration will do what they can to extend that opportunity to residents of Ward II. <br />Ordinance 2018-17 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the <br />City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2018 and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Resolution 2018-18 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into <br />continuing contract(s) with Cuyahoga County/the Cuyahoga County Engineer for the <br />purpose of providing ongoing inspection services for bridges and culverts, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2018-19 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman <br />Williamson on behalf of herself, Council President Jones and Councilwoman Hemann. <br />An Ordinance amending Section 561.01 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted, entitled "Criminal Activity Nuisances Declared" of Chapter 561 entitled <br />"Criminal Activity Nuisances" in order to remove domestic violence/protection order as <br />nuisance activities subject to recovery of enforcement costs, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2018-20 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon City streets, as <br />detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, <br />following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and <br />best bidder. <br />Resolution 2018-21 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets and locations in the <br />City, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Engineering Department, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the <br />same with the lowest and best bidder. <br />Resolution 2018-22 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide cracksealing on various streets at various locations in the City, as <br />detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and authorizing the <br />Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the <br />lowest and best bidder. <br />Resolution 2018-23 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy.
