Council Minutes of 3-6-2018 <br />the day-to-day activities, unless appropriate measures are taken to comply with <br />City regulations; 2) Documentation is provided to City officials showing <br />permission from adjacent property owners regarding parking spaces that can be <br />used and 3) Evidence shall be provided showing that all applicable requirements <br />of the State of Ohio governing the licensing of the facility are met and the use <br />shall be operated at all times in accordance with state requirements and evidence <br />be provided to City officials. After discussion, the Committee made a motion to <br />recommend approval to Council of CMS 18-10479 by a vote of 3-0. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved to approve CMS 18-10479 Amani's Learning Center <br />located at 28600-28640 Brookpark Road Extension with the Planning & Design <br />Commission recommendations incorporated. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Limpert and pass unanimously. CMS 18-10479 approved 6-0. <br />Councilman Limpert Chairman of the Streets & Transportation Committee: <br />The Streets & Transportation Committee met on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 7:35 p.m. <br />Present were committee members Limpert, Kearney and Glassburn; Council members <br />Brossard, Hemann and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director <br />of Safety & Service Glauner and guests. <br />• Discussed first was Resolution 2018-18. A Resolution dispensing with the RFP <br />process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into continuing contract(s) with <br />Cuyahoga County/the Cuyahoga County Engineer for the purpose of providing <br />ongoing inspection services for bridges and culverts, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. Glauner noted the City, along with other communities in the area, have used <br />the County in the past due to the capabilities and pricing of the County. The <br />Committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council. <br />• Discussed next were Resolutions 2018-20, 2018-21 and 2018-22. Resolution <br />2018-20 is a Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for <br />bids for the award of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs <br />upon City streets, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for <br />the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2018-21 is a Resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a <br />contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets and locations in the <br />City, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Engineering Department, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for <br />the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2018-22 is a Resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a <br />contract to provide cracksealing on various streets at various locations in the City, <br />as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and authorizing <br />the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same <br />with the lowest and best bidder. These are done every year as the City looks to <br />maintain and improve the streets.
