Council Minutes of 3-6-2018 <br />Coordinator in the IT Department will be moved up five months. There are a total <br />of $241,697 in reductions to the budget. All of the Directors were consulted and <br />are on board with adjustments being made to their departments. The Committee <br />recommended to Council by a vote of 2-0 with suspension. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />No participation. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2018-13 introduced by Mayor Kennedy on behalf of himself and Councilman <br />Glassburn was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning <br />& Development to solicit proposals for a contract to demolish and remove a dangerous <br />building located at 4033 Walter Road, as a public nuisance; and further authorizing the <br />demolition costs to be certified as a tax lien pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section <br />715.261 and Section 1363.108.7 of the Codified Ordinances, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Brossard moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Resolution 2018-13 adopted 6-0. <br />Ordinance 2018-17 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the <br />City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2018 and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Brossard moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings as <br />this was discussed in committee and is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Schumann and passed 6-0. Councilman Brossard moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />2018-17 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2018-18 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into <br />continuing contract(s) with Cuyahoga County/the Cuyahoga County Engineer for the <br />purpose of providing ongoing inspection services for bridges and culverts, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2018-19 introduced by Councilwoman Williamson on behalf of herself, <br />Council President Jones and Councilwoman Hemann was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 561.01 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted, entitled "Criminal Activity Nuisances Declared" of Chapter 561 entitled <br />"Criminal Activity Nuisances" in order to remove domestic violence/protection order as <br />nuisance activities subject to recovery of enforcement costs, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2018-20 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon City streets, as <br />detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, <br />following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and <br />best bidder. <br />5 <br />
