Council Minutes of 3-20-2018 <br />Councilman Limpert Chairman of the Streets & Transportation Committee: <br />The Streets & Transportation Committee met on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. <br />Present were committee members Limpert, Kearney and Glassburn; Council members <br />Brossard, Hemann, Schumann and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor <br />Kennedy, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Planning & Development <br />Lieber and guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2018-26. A Resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Planning and Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to <br />provide construction services for the 2018 Sidewalk Program, as detailed in the <br />specifications on file with the Division of Engineering, and authorizing the <br />Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with <br />the lowest and best bidder. Ms. Lieber noted this is to go for bid for the sidewalk <br />program which was discussed on the 13`x' of February. Notices went out by March <br />14 to residents who had been cited. The Planning Director noted there are some <br />follow-up communications that will need to go out to correct some clerical errors. <br />The vendor will be providing a price per unit as part of the R.F.P. and residents <br />can opt in or out of the program. The Mayor noted he will work with <br />Councilmembers and the vendor for those residents who may not be part of the <br />current program. The Committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Chi Wang <br />30858 Old Shore Dr. <br />Mr. Wang said he liked the Mayor and several Councilmembers, including Council <br />President Jones. His complaint was with ongoing issues with his neighbor and he was <br />asking the City to help resolve the issues. <br />Adam Dorenkott <br />6037 Forest Ridge Drive <br />Mr. Dorenkott asked if the Recreation Center ballot issue has a number. <br />Mayor Kennedy responded, it does and it is Issue 12. The Mayor also said there will be <br />more information sent out to residents in addition to the meetings going on. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2018-18 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into <br />continuing contract(s) with Cuyahoga County/the Cuyahoga County Engineer for the <br />purpose of providing ongoing inspection services for bridges and culverts, and declaring <br />an emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2018-18 adopted 7-0. <br />2 <br />
